Air jet loom is a shuttleless loom that uses jet air to pull weft yarn through the shed. The working principle is to use air as weft insertion medium to draw the weft yarn with the friction traction generated by the sprayed compressed air flow, bring the weft yarn through the shed, and achieve the purpose of weft insertion through the jet generated by air injection.

This weft insertion method can make the loom realize high speed and high output. Among several shuttleless looms, air-jet loom is the one with the highest speed. Due to the reasonable weft insertion mode, high weft insertion rate, simple and safe operation, wide variety adaptability, low material consumption, high efficiency, high speed and low noise, it has become one of the most promising new looms. Because the air-jet loom adopts air weft, the biggest disadvantage is high energy consumption.
Development of air jet loom in China

Domestic jet models mainly improved after digesting and absorbing the manufacturing technology of Japan and Europe.
